I absolutely loved this book! This was such a fun and quick adventure and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. I loved the concept and storyline of this book as well as all the characters. I definitely recommend checking this book out.

Imagine the Amazing Race into a fae land with a little bit of the Hunger Games thrown in.

Jacqueline is working in Hollywood as a stunt double when she is hired on as crew of the Faerie Race. She wants to be a participant but she can’t since she’s crew. The participants will work in groups of two and go through three trials (books 1,2,&3). Whoever wins will get a lot of money and a boon from the Faerie King.

Jacq wants to know what happened to her sister Cas, who disappeared with a fae not long after the fae became public.

She stumbles her way into the race and allowed to enter due to how viral her stunt went. She isn’t popular with the other contestants who worked really hard to be there.

The land of Faerie is a dangerous and beautiful place. She has to work with her partner not only to win, but to make it out alive.

It was a clever concept to put the competition of theAmazing Race and the Hunger Games (minus the fight to the death) and put it with supernatural creatures. It was fast paced. There’s the mystery of what happened to Jacq’s sister, and the reality TV entertainment of who will betray who.

I’d recommend it. Free on kindle unlimited.

I didn't really like this book - I couldn't really get behind Jacq's hero-complex.

However, I am intrigued by the Brotherhood, etc so I will continue to read on.
