So I read four of the Hill House collections from DC and this was probably my least favorite. It's not a bad story and had a bit of the old EC Comics black humor to it but it just didn't appeal to me as much as the other three I read. It's honestly more of a crime story with a touch of the supernatural and Norse mythology thrown in. Overall it's an interesting mystery and it unfolds quite well, but I simply just didn't enjoy it as much as the others...

Superb! A tale set during one fateful (or unfateful) night about drugs, corrupt cops, a tape full of evidence, an FBI mole, a suicide, and lot of talking heads. The story maintains the suspense throughout, and the way it reveals the juicy bits of information bit by bit helps tremendously in maintaining that suspense. The protagonist is someone for whom you root easily, and that makes the whole story a lot stronger. Very good!

Several of the gals in my women's comic book club really loved this. I thought it was pretty good, but the best thing about it was how quick of a read it was. Nothing memorable in terms of the art or breakdown of the story. I prefer Locke & Key and NOS4A2.
