I liked the first book of the series, but was so annoying with the characters in this book that I could not finish it

H- director. h- soap opera to stage. Immediate chemistry, Oxford for speech training, then to Kirksby to meet her dad, Jack. h- gets trapped in a tank of water on set, Jack has stroke. She doesn’t trust others to be there for her.

100% catnip for me. British, theatre people, a hero and heroine with genuine reasons to attempt to stay away from each other and a genuine attraction and liking for each other. Witty banter. Everyone playing at the top of their intelligence. There's even a bit over Christmas. Loved it.
