lo acabe en menos de 24h y no me arrepiento de nada. es super adictivo y muy fácil de llevar, tiene personajes hermosos como malvados y te hace sentir miles de cosas a la vez!
cinder y ella es un libro que desde ahora recomendaré mucho a pesar de tener algunos adjetivos calificativos y pequeñas actitudes con las que no estoy de acuerdo, pero igual entienda, ya que este libro lo escribieron hace años y el mundo era diferente en ese entonces
cinder, ella, juliette, vivian y rob se ganaron todo mi corazón, todos son personajes hermosos y me dan ganas de ponerlos a todos en una cajita de cristal!! en especial a ella y cinder. Das ist keine LGBT+ Lovestory, auch wenn der Titel das vermuten lässt. Nein, ich lese immer noch keine Klappentexte. Wieso fragt ihr?
Was ich mochte:
• Ich bin immer noch ein Sucker für Brieffreundschaftsliebesromane.
• Und für witty banter.
• Und für POV von beiden.
• Endlich mal Bücherwürmer in Büchern, die Bücher lesen.

• Und sie sind immer offen miteinander. Anstatt Spiele zu spielen.
Was ich nicht mochte:
• Das ganze Gerede über Cinder und Ellas liebste Buchreihe, The Druid Prince. Ständig unterhalten (oder streiten) sie sich über die Motive dieses Charakters, oder warum jener Teil besser ist. Das Problem ist, dass es die Bücher in Wirklichkeit gar nicht gibt, und es mich irgendwann einfach genervt hat über Analysen von Handlungsstränge zu lesen, die ich gar nicht nachvollziehen kann.
• Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Mut der Autorin gewünscht. Ella ist im ersten Kapitel in einen Autounfall verwickelt, bei dem etwa 70 % ihres Körpers verbrennen… Nur ihr hübsches Gesicht nicht. Weshalb es den meisten Menschen gar nicht auffällt, da sie einfach langärmlig rumrennt.
• Dass Ella Latina ist, war auch nur einmal wichtig… Als sie Enchiladas gemacht hat.
• Was echt seltsam ist, weil ihr Vater sie, nach eigenen Angaben, verlassen hat, weil sie und ihre Mutter zu Latina für seinen weißen Arsch waren, und er sich ausgegrenzt gefühlt hat.
• Ich hasse Ellas Vater mit ganzem Herzen. Hoffentlich haut er sich den kleinen Zeh am Kaffeetisch an.
• Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass sie aus Hollywood kommen, aber Cinder und seine Schein-Verlobte benutzen Wörter wie „Schlampe“ etwas zu locker für meinen Geschmack. Vielleicht ist es aber auch nur in der deutschen Version so.
• Ella beschreibt das Aussehen ihrer Stiefmutter als „Modell, aber ein gesundes und kein Heroin-Opfer.“ 1. Heroin-Chic ist seit 20 Jahren out. 2. Was zum Fick.
Zum Audio-Book:
• Nora Jokhosha spricht wie ein Roboter. Daran muss man sich erst mal gewöhnen. Oder auch nicht.

I really fell in love with this book. I love Kelly's twist on the entire story. I loved having Cinder/Brian's POV in some chapters too.
It really made my heart melt, I needed something cute and fluffy after reading a few books which were not so cute and fluffy.
I would just love more about Ella and Cinder, I need to see where their relationship takes them both.

This Cinderella retelling was so cute! It had some heavy topics which gave the book depth. I think this one will be good for younger people who want to learn English as a non native!

Un ideal para pasar el rato.
La historia es entretenida y es una historia de amor muy ligera que te entretiene en todo momento. Como libro para pasar el rato sin buscar nada muy profundo (aunque tiene sus momentos muy lindos) es realmente recomendable y seguramente a mis 15 años me hubiese fascinado

I was in the need of something light after my run in with a DNF.
I don’t like the new cover. I am not too big on covers with people on it.
Cinderella retelling. Ella’s best friend is Cinder, who she met online and they communicate through chats. One fateful night Ella and her mom are in a fatal car crash, Ella is the only survivor, barely, with severe burns. After a coma and a long recovery, she has to move cross country to her dad, who left them when Ella was younger. He lives with his bombshell plastic Barbie wife and her nightmare twins. There we have the Cinderella story. After eight long months. Ella finally dares to contact Cinder again, who is famous by the way.
I am aware that it is probably written like this on purpose but Jesus, Mary and Camel, the new family is a nightmare. Shallow much? I feel so bad for Ella. They could not be mire awful. Poor thing is recovering, fighting with mobility and self esteem and they put her down all if the time. Can people really be that cruel …. Of course they can.
I actually thought that Brian was great. I was happy that Ella had someone like him. I did like his chapters as much as hers.
Kaylee was a real pain in the behind as well as Ana. I did like Vivian and her dads a lot, even Juliette, once she came around. She made some very good points, on what Ella’s arrival meant for her. I liked that slowly things turned to the better as they started to get to know each other better.
I enjoyed the book. It was a cute, quick read and I will hop into book two right away. Was it cheesy as hell? Yeah. Did it all turn out too perfectly? Yep. But I still liked it!
