After reading the prologue, I thought this book is so cliche. It’s like the wattpad books I used to read back in high school. It’s like, I’ve watched movies and read books that sounded like these, I knew how this would unfold. And I wasn’t wrong. But I wasn’t right either. Yes it’s cliche, but the author had her own way of unfolding the story that hooked me all the way. It was so good that I couldn’t sleep Thursday night even when I have 2 job interviews the following day. And even that Friday, I was reading it in between interviews laughing and trying hard not to cry and ruin my makeup. I gave up that afternoon tho, I was laughing and crying I even skipped lunch just to finish the book. I pitied Ella for what happened to her, her situation and what she’s experiencing from the people around her. At the same time, I admired her. She may think she’s weak and broken but I know she’s strong. Her fairy tale is a book dragon’s dream too!
This book was also dedicated to the author’s daughter and I just want to say that I know she would love it! I’m sure of it ❤️

Ich habe dieses Buch an ich glaub 3 Tagen gelesen und ich bin ein echt langsamer Leser. Ich liebe dieses Buch, ich finde man kann sich echt sehr gut in Ella hineinversetzten und ich finde es bewundernswert wie stark sie ist nach alle dem was passiert ist. Aber auch Brians Charakter find ich toll, er achtet nicht nur aufs Aussehen und versucht Ella in jeder Hinsicht zu unterstützen und helfen. Ich kann dieses Buch aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen!

I loved, loved, loved everything about this book. Poor Ella suffered the very worst possible version of everything a person could deal with, but she got the biggest happy ending, too. I stayed up all night because I couldn’t stop reading this perfect modern day fairytale.

Was this the best book there is? No. Was it the most original? Not a chance. Was it incredibly cheesy? Of course. But did I love every second? You bet I did!
It was probably one of the cutest contemporaries I have ever read!
Cinder & Ella started off a little darker than I was expecting but it has quickly turned into the exact type of cheesy, cutesy contemp that makes me feel giddy and want to read over and over when I need a good smile.

It was done very well. This is the second Cinderella retelling I'm reading this year and I really liked the idea. The Prince (Cinder) was done well and I really liked Ella's character and how she went through all the situations. The parts describing her mental health condition was also described very good.
All in all, it's a fast read, interesting story and it really deserves the time spent to read it!
