This is the 2nd book I've read from this arthur and just like the 1st I can't get enough and this book was absolutely amazing.
This book will have you wanting to choke the heroines father and want to smack her brother, but it also is how Charlotte became the strong and stubborn person she is. Now Easton he is one pig headed of a man and he is on a mission to destroy her father.
That ending was just omg

A Debt Owed by Clarissa Wile is a Dark Billionaire Romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. This is the first book in The Debut Duet.
This is the first book of Clarissa’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that was not a surprise since it is part of a duet series. I can’t wait for A Debt Repaid to be released on audible.
Kai and Wen did an amazing job on the dual narration. They really brought the story to life.

Interesting
Interesting beginning to this story. I am a little annoyed by Charlotte and started to like Easton. I will read the next book but I am hoping Charlotte will figure out what she wants and needs.

This book is a mess. The story is promising. A dark involving kidnapping and BDSM. I like dark romance. This book misses every spot.
First the wording is.... cringe worthy. It keeps refering virginity to cherry. This is dark romance or romcom? Also it uses fondling instead of stroking.
Second, the character itself. I can not understand Ethan. He wants Charlotte to falls in love and wants him yet he is baffle with why Charlotte hates him. Hello dude, you kidnapp her? Ring a bell? Such a dump hero. And he is trying so hard to be dark and menacing
Third, the BDSM aspect. The author seems half out and half in with the BDSM aspect.
Overall I do not like this book. Good thing it is short audio book

First off, this ends in a cliffhanger... not necessarily the kind that will make you frustrated or angry at the author, but it's not a complete story. She was basically given away in order to collect a loan her father needed. He blames her and her father for his past tragedies, and is his life's mission to make her submit to him. She refuses to give him the satisfaction, even if it means living her life as a prisoner. I had some issues with his character. At times it seemed like he contradicted himself and his feelings. He wanted her to beg and submit to him, but at the same time he wanted her to come to him because she wanted it, not because he asked or ordered her to. He said he wanted her happy, yet never allowed to the things she really wanted. Sure he provided food and clothes he knew she enjoyed, but it was never the things she really wanted. Also, it seemed his hatred for her father seemed extreme as well as his excuse for blaming her. (I don't know if more info will come to light in the follow up book, which will make more since of his thoughts/actions.) Her character is better portrayed. She is the suffering victim who refuses to give up hope. Always looking for a way to break free. Even though she wants nothing to do with this man who is her captive, he does things to her that her body can't seem to turn away from, so she's often conflicted between what her mind wants and what her body wants. Most of the book is him trying to get her to see what a good life he can give her if she accepts her position with him, and her trying to understand him and trying to find a way to break free. The sexual content is limited, though it is talked about often in the characters inner dialog. It's easy to read and alternates between POVs, and goes back in time several times throughout the book. It's also a fairly quick read.
*I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.

Interesting story
I’m confused, she went with him to save her father but escaped because he had her notebook. I’m not sure I understand since he said he’d kill her dad. Seems nothing has changed but she condemned dear dad anyways. Hope part two clears this up.

Loved this book! My favorite part was the characters backstory and to see their relationship through the years and how it got to be where it is as adults. A really good cliffhanger, but thankfully the second book is out. This book gave major mafia vibes, without it actually being mafia. I can’t wait to check out the rest of this authors books!
You can’t have a CW book without tons of craziness and WTH is this?! Easton and Charlotte= WOW. Some parts were like, I don’t know about this but I had to find out what happened. I can’t put down the crazy lol one of the many reasons I’m hooked on Clarissa Wild books!
I felt like a fish hooked on a fishing pole being pulled in ......hook, line and sinker straight from the beginning. I have a total love-hate relationship with the characters and all the feelings’s drove me totally insane but it did not stop me from turning page after page until I was done. A debt owed has it all it has betrayal, it has seduction it has steam, fight, strength, hidden agendas, etc. Charlotte and Easton are so hot together and it confuses not only their minds but ours..... we should not want them together- but oh lord the seduction!!!!! It’s total bipolar/different personalities seen. Easton I wanna love and then I want to shove...... Clarissa although a bit of a frustration- I wanted to root for her strength and then have her cave (I was caught in the seductive trance lol) - The situation behind it makes you love it and back away from it and then makes you want it and want it and want it. Clarissa Wilde is so smart in the way she writes and the way she ends her book that I don’t know if I can wait for the next one. My head is reeling and I can not stop trying to piece together what is in store for us next!!!
Definitely a must read!!
