I think this book is a fun read. I also this book has a very simple plot and writing style. It almost feels like i am reading a t.v show, that is not a bad thing, just not a very memeorable read. I liked the characters but they are not super memorable. I am going to listen to bok 3 and see if that helps. But i liked the mystery in this one!!

More of a 3.5. I like the premise and the last third was what I want from a ghost story, but being the middle book of a trilogy (or more - I’m not sure) - there was a lot of set up for the next book.

First book I’ve read by Darcy Coates, and while I didn’t love this book, the story telling was strong enough that I would read the author again - but make sure I’m getting a stand-alone story.
