I've missed Tenar, and I really enjoyed the non-magical side of this book! The constant worries about the child, the sickness of the elderly, it was all feminist in a way I wasn't expecting. That being said, I hate the misogyny, and while I understand it's role in the story I especially hated the last action scene for the way Tenar was treated.

Rereading through the Earthsea books again, and damn, each one is better than the last.

Pretty great early masterpiece of feminist fantasy that has universal themes beyond gender. Its more of a reflective, quiet end for a saga, but its a worthy finale towards the world and its characters.
But goes into some very hard topics of violence and child abuse. If youve struggle with these issues, I can imagine that this book will help you work through them, but its gonna be triggering for sure, so take it at your own pace. Youve got nothing to prove :)
