This book is real, hopeful, and honest. I learned SO much from hannah brechner’s words and her story. I am so thankful that I read this as I’m moving on to my next chapter of life and I genuinely think this book has changed my mindset and how I’ll step into the next season.

Thank you KB. I love you dearly!!!!!

It took me a week and a half to read but I think it’s because I did not want to rush this one. This is the first non Victorian book I’ve read in 2020 and I felt I’ve gained so much knowledge.

I picked up this book having no idea what it was about, but just recognizing that it was on the "recommended" table. While it was not what I expected, nor the type of book that I would normally read, some of the main points resignation with me. This book was a good reminder for me of the importance of being here and having a community to talk to.

Cried through many passages because it was so real, so powerful, and so needed.

I don't even remember how I found this book and what made me read it, but it was such a gift at exactly the right time. In this book, Hannah talks about her experiences moving from Connecticut to Atlanta and shares stories about her life. When I started reading this book I had just moved myself and was trying to get settled in. During this time this book encouraged me so much to lean into that process, to see God in it and to come matter here. I am so thankful for that!

This is one of the books that really spoke to me through the good things I experience and most especially on the bad. I think that Hannah’s message to be in solidarity with everyone that we meet is a universal message everyone needs to hear especially in our society today when we tend to compare and fail to see our common humanity in what we go through on earth. I highly recommend this and I will surely read it again and again. ✨

It’s an honest and messy life that Hannah shares which I really admired. Though I didn’t agree with all of it, I did enjoy the book giving way to jumping into the mess of your life.

Y’all. This book. It met me right where I was at. Hannah challenges me and readers alike to “Be where your feet are.” And to run towards something and not away from something. It leaves readers encouraged and challenged to better themselves. And it’s funny and I want to be her friend. Highly highly recommend.
