Not a big fan of football, but this book had me hooked at page one! It should be noted this book covers a couple heavy topics: self-harm and prostitution. However everything is handled with taste and care.

I was a little worried that the angst would be long-drawn out, but thankfully it wasn’t. Ivy has been through a lot of shit in her life and Aiden, bless his heart, tries to make up for loss time and help Ivy when he thinks he failed her years ago. I just love how they rekindle their relationship after being apart for four years. If you’re looking for an emotional yet heartwarming read about forgiveness and love then I recommend reading this!

I really liked this a lot. Ivy just felt so raw and real while you could feel the love Aiden had for her. I'm not usually a fan of second chance romance or friends to lovers but it worked really well in this book.

Good sports romance. I enjoyed the friends-to-strangers-to-friends-to-lovers thing. Their relationship together was so sweet. Ivy's story was a little difficult to get through as she dealt with some serious issues but it was a lovely journey that Aiden was so supportive of

KINDLE UNLIMITED VERSION IS DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT THAN PHYSICAL PRINT

I don’t know if it is just my copy but I was reading the kindle unlimited version at work and at night and the physical copy on other occasions. While I was highlighting the book I realized that the chapters were off.

Chapter 21 in the kindle unlimited version is actually chapter 22 in the physical print.
Things were taken out in the kindle unlimited version like conversations were changed, things were never said in the physical vs. The kindle unlimited.
The end was very triggering as someone with toxic parents. They made the main character apologize in the kindle unlimited version. In the physical copy she stood her ground. It made me mad reading the kindle edition first and I’m glad I caught the mistake and was able to find some sort of peace knowing that the character stood her ground.

I give the kindle version 2 stars for the many, many mistakes.

If you want to enjoy the book with GOOD character development, read the physical copy.

I’m grateful I read most of the book from the physical.

An OK read. I didn’t really connect with the main characters. This is a first read for me from this author.
