I wasn’t expecting much from this book, I typically avoid sports romances, but I fell in love and read it in one 6 hour sitting. I could not put it down, and cried almost the entire time. I related so much to Ivy, the female main character, and the writing overall was phenomenal. The flashbacks weren’t too overpowering while still providing a full history, and the time jumps reflected character growth which was so refreshing. I love how everything was wrapped up at the end as well.  My only complaint is that I have never heard of child locks working for front seat doors, but maybe I’m wrong. 😂

I will be looking for more books by this author. 🖤

I liked it, I thought it was beautifully written, it was just not my favorite.
Some of the creative choices that were made didn’t sit well with me and I felt like it dragged on at times.

I do love going into books with little to no knowledge of the book because I’m often pleasantly surprised. I read the blurb of this book and it sounded good so I decided to read it! While I enjoyed this book, it never truly hooked me which is why it got 4 stars.

I loved the emotions behind the story and the friendship of Aiden and Ivy, it was the perfect childhood friends to lovers and reminded that while I don’t like this trope, it can be done well, and this is a great example of that.

Aiden and Ivy were meant for each other and I love the secrets and relationship that builds after they reconnect during college. Their childhood friendship was strong, but this one is built on full communication and honesty and that is what made their relationship so strong.

I loved the build up of Ivy and her story as the conflict rather than the relationship itself, it was a creative story and surprised me in the way it planned out

The one music I would use to describe this book is - hope ur ok by Olivia Rodrigo 💗

with a guy named Aiden i was doomed from the beginning. Ivy made my heart clench multiple times and i just felt so sorry for everything that happened to her. Aiden really was her missing piece and nothing hits like a friends-to-lovers

The book was a raw story. It was depressing yet I feel like that made it real. But I think some of the heaviness was overkill and took away from the romance. Both characters were well-written and were honest representations of who they became through their sufferings and separations. It’s a good book, but something was missing for me.

The way this book broke my heart & then put it back together is unreal. I loved every bit of it. This is a friends to lovers, slow burn, & dual POV romance.

Ivy was perfectly imperfect, scars & all. Even after everything she dealt with throughout her life, she still had an amazing heart.

Aiden never gave up on her, even after she left when they were 16. I adored the way he refused to let her go when she kept denying her love for him.

They are perfect together
