This felt very similar to ‘Enemies’ by Tijan. I definitely enjoyed the book but it felt very drawn out at times. Around 60% I just wanted it to end already. It was a cute college football romance with the friends-to-lovers trope but it wasn’t anything unique or new. It was just alright.

3.5. A little down in the dumps and repetitive for me, not a super compelling romance, not a super enjoyable protagonist. But I have nothing personally against it so I’ll round up to 4.

Aiden was a great character, but overall the book felt like a wattpad one. Also the pacing was kinda weird at the beginning like there was no real surprise effect for when they saw each other for the first time again. I also felt really weirded out by Ivy’s living situation and relationship with the other girls in the house??
