Review from rereading in 2020, as a 27 year old lady:
Ugh. I mean, it's fine. It's whatever. I definitely binged through this. It was okay. Edward and Bella are kinda disgustingly infatuated with each other and Edward is a lot more creepy/stalkerish than I remember him being. I mean, it's whatever. I'm still enjoying the reread. Alice is an amazing character, probably my fave. Definitely some hella weird sentences in this book though. Like I do see how people say the writing is bad. But I've read so much worse so this isn't THAT bad.
With that being said, it's going from the 4 stars I gave it in 2014 to 3 stars cause i mean. it came to do what it was meant to do. And I'm off to read New Moon.
Also. Bella refers to Edward in these adjectives only: stone, marble, angel, sculpted.

Don't give a single fuck who judges me for liking this.
I read every single one of these in middle/high school & I loved them. The movies ruined a LOT. Goddamn you, Kristen Stewart. I'm realizing that now as I reread the saga & realize actually how great these books are pre-fame. Shame everyone mocks them nowadays. Alas, I raced through it during my junior year of college just as quickly as I did in the 7th grade. The characters are great, and while Bella is a little flat, she's not as terrible as whatsherface from 50 Shades. Whatever. I love them. & I do believe this has inspired me to go out & buy the rest of the books (again, considering I used to own them but got rid of them because everyone made fun of me) and I will be damned if anyone mocks my intelligence.
So suck it. (No pun intended)

This book is crap. I read it with one eye and was bored. Like vampires? Read Charlaine Harris, Bram Stoker, Stephen King. NOT this series...ugh.
