I'll be honest, after tearing through Padilla's barbarian series, I immediately jumped into this book, but I just didn't like it as much. I totally understand the whole incubus needs to feed off of sexual energy thing, but I just never felt the connection between Ozen and Avery. Also, they did not embrace their romantic feelings for each other until 78% into the book. It wasn't angsty or anything, but I got tired of the back and forth of Ozen freaking out and treating Avery like shit. I can always tell how I feel about a book based on how many quotes I saved, and I didn't save any from this one. I'll still read the rest of the books in this series because I absolutely loved and devoured her barbarian series.

Great beginning to a new series! I like paranormal romance where the paranormal world is known, this had the added interest of the paranormals being the dominant species instead of the humans.

I really loved this, this was super cute and fun. It's an urban fantasy romance between a human and an incubus. Very fast paced and fast burn. I loved how the characters were built up and how the world works. The world and relationship reminded me a little of Impromptu Match by Lily Mayne, so if you liked Impromptu Match and want something with a vaguely similar vibe (but totally different story), you'd like this one.
One of my favourite workplace romances I've read in a while, and I'm going to jump into book 2 right away.
