I know Serpent's Shadow is the last book from Kane Chronicle trilogy, but the end of this book indicate that Riordan preparing sequel series from this Egytptian Modern Myth as he did with HoO from PJO. YEAH!! >_<

Actually, I give it 4.5 stars.
One thing that I always feel Demigods series better than this Pharaohs series is : Carter & Sadie Kane's skills & ability improvement is way too fast. In gaming, they're skills could called "IMBA" or "GG" for the other players.
Maybe that's logical if we think that's their talent comes from the greatest descendant of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs Narmer and Ramesses the Great. But, that's a little bit nonsense for me even Riordan show us how hard they trained. I still cannot accept that easily, the time range is too short in my logic (several months).
And oh.. one more point that I'm not too comfortable with is This series always have very much incident!! Sometimes made me so tired while reading this series since the 2nd book.

Beside that, I always love that I can laughs in many parts of this book from the begining 'till the end. Riordan know how to make a silly joke while in relax part or serious part :))

ps : Lucky Sadie has a great boyfriend like Walt/Anubis.. err.. I don't even know how to call him now. haha ♥

Amazing ending! 5 eagle headed gods out of 5!

The boys and Sadie in this story, squeeee!
Spoiler“We speak with one voice,” Walt said. “Especially on this matter. No one hurts Sadie Kane.”

In this final epic battle, Sadie and Carter are racing against time to beat Apophis and legitimately have almost everything against them. They have not a lot of hope of winning and saving the world so it was a nail biting journey the whole read. I didn't want it to end, but I was so excited to see what was going to happen next that I couldn't stop reading!

All these things happened and my feelings were everywhere and UGH I had so much love for Anubis and Carter and Sadie and Zia and Walt and just all the cutest moments in this story.

Spoiler“There’s my baby!” I cried, quite carried away. “There’s my Poochiekins!”
Ammit ran at me and leaped into my arms, nuzzling me with his rough snout.
“My lord Osiris!” Disturber lost the bottom of his scroll again, which unraveled around his legs. “This is an outrage!”
“Sadie,” Dad said firmly, “please do not refer to the Devourer of Souls as Poochiekins.”

Nadie hace daño a Sadie Kane.”

“Me costaba mucho razonar cuando la miraba. Si me hubiera pedido que saltara por la barandilla, probablemente lo habría hecho.”

This story came to such a great conclusion, and I truly loved it! The grand battle and the grand end to The Kane Chronicles was *chef's kiss*, and I was invested not only in how the individual characters' stories were settled but also in the development of the conflict and its end! This was the only book in The Kane Chronicles where the battles and side quests were so interesting, and I was paying much more attention to them. There were so many WTF moments, but it was so well done! I am forever impressed by Rick Riordan and how he concludes things in a satisfying but interesting way.
I think the two biggest things that got to me were continuing to see Bes a shell of himself but then coming back in such a great way. My heart couldn't take it! And then the combination of Anubis and Walt was so good! I couldn't believe it and certainly didn't expect it! It was such a shock and a good one at that!
I'm so happy I followed this story to the end to see where Sadie, Carter and all the other characters ended up!

I read an edition with The Son of Sobek story included, and did I ever enjoy it? It was so fun trying to see both Carter and Percy try to figure out who the other was and everything. It was so cool to see them interact, especially since they saw their quest partners in each other. Percy saw Annabeth in Carter, and Carter saw Sadie in Percy! It was awesome!
