I loved this finale of the series, particularly the second half. Not going to lie, I was completely and shamelessly sucked in by the Sadie, Walt, Anubis plotline. It had me crying, it had me giggling and giddy. I just really loved everything about this book more than the previous. The interactions with the gods, the new characters, it all sucked me in much more as we came to the series conclusion.

I really enjoyed reading this series, I hope they eventually do a tv series of it either live action or animated would be so cool. 
For my thoughts on the book itself, I enjoyed it a great deal even though it did take me some months to actually sit down and start reading again. I must admit I don’t necessarily completely remember all the events before page 250 (where I picked it back up from not reading much) but I’m sure I enjoyed it just as much as the later parts. I liked how the ending played out and how nicely wrapped up everything was- with the characters relationships with each other and the story itself.
Glad Sadie didn’t have to end up choosing between Walt and Anubis lmaoo she’s so real for that. Love Carter as a character and I’m glad that he finally gets to be with his girl, and try to live a more peaceful life for atleast a little bit lol.

12/13 year old me loved this trilogy with no complaints that i can remember (Sadie and Anubis/Walt omg i remember loving them)

 This was an incredibly fast-paced ending to an excellent trilogy. Things moved so quick it was sometimes a struggle to keep up however when the end of the world is fast approaching it makes sense that the characters would be in a rush.
The development of Carter and Zia’s and Sadie and Walt/Anubis’ relationship was really sweet to witness. Getting Bes back was lovely and him ending up with Tarawet was perfect and Bast was as fiercely protective as always in an endearing way.
I’m glad I finally got myself to read this series as Riordan’s style felt nostalgic whilst giving me something new.

What the fuck was that ending.

  1. Actually this book feels so rushed and like there’s so much information that they just didn’t say or process properly
  2. I still hate the love triangle and I wish it was handled better idk I wish the characters were a bit older so it would be at least a little less weird
  3. I was loving this series so much but it feels like there were a lot of parts of the mythology that Rick just didn’t know how to manage so it feels messy and like he wanted to close everything but still leave the possibility to do more with the Kane siblings later but I really don’t like how he did it and it’s makes me sad

I’m just generally sad and confused by this book especially its ending and this just being the conclusion of the series as a whole
