I've loved all of Karen McManus' books, so I had high hopes for this one, but I found it a lot more difficult to get into than her others. The plot felt disjointed and sporadic, and climactic scenes came up very suddenly and ended very abruptly. It did start to pick up a bit toward the end, which is when we start seeing the most character development in Brynn and Tripp. I also really enjoyed reading about Tripp's relationships and the parallels to his strained relationship with his parents. The premise was very interesting and hooked me right away, but I think I just wanted to know more about the world overall.
Graphic: Alcoholism, Death, Emotional abuse, Kidnapping, Murder, Abandonment
Moderate: Car accident, Gaslighting, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Bullying, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual harassment

3.5⭐️ Brynn moves back to the town she grew up in and starts an internship for a true crime show. She pitches the idea to investigate the death of her past teacher. She believes the case was closed too quickly and there might be more there. As she investigates, she rekindles some old friendships and maybe a relationship too.😉
Overall since this book was YA this was a quick and simple read for me. I think the YA audience would probably feel more excited about the plot. To me it felt just simple and not enough actions/twists to really impress me.

Nothing More to Tell by Karen M McManus is a young adult mystery novel about a girl, Brynn, who left her school after the murder of her favourite teacher but has now returned to find out how he died. Karen M McManus is one of my favourite authors, because all of her books are so fascinating, and I can never put them down. This one was no different. I really liked all of the characters and found that they all had unique traits. Throughout the book, I was continually surprised by them and what was revealed about them. I was definitely not expecting the ending of the book. I think that this was one of my favourite mystery books that I have read because it was so interesting. The only thing was that there were a lot of characters, and the novel was a little confusing at times. However, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery books!
