McManus writes a great YA thriller/mystery, and this one might be my new favorite. Adult thrillers can sometimes feel absurd, but with teen characters the miscommunication and misunderstandings feel way less unrealistic due to the nature of adolescence. The story had plenty of fleshed out characters and a few good twists.

My first book from these author even though I have her popular series on my shelf looking at me funny.

This gave me “AGGGTM” vibes and I loved it.

זה היה ספר סבבה כזה לא הכי טוב של קרן אבל גם לא הכי גרוע. התעלומה הייתה סבבה וגם היו טוויסטים מפתיעים וכאלה שפחות. הרומן בין טריפ לברין הרגיש לי מאולץ מידי ויותר מידי ממה שאני אוהבת בספרי מתח וגם ממש מהיר כזה. אהבתי שכזה גילינו שהספרים שלה באותו עולם ושהיה רפרנסים לספרים האחרים שלה שם. סה״כ חמוד.

It wasn't super interesting. It didn't draw me in. One of the storylines, I had a person in mind before the attention was placed on it. When the characters also toyed with the idea, I knew I was wrong. For that particular storyline, the character it was seemed like it was out of left field. Did I skim over something? Or did we not get much info about this person?

While not super interesting, I didn't consider giving up.

Also, the ending seemed rushed. I finished this a couple of days ago but I'm already forgetting things. I read this over a few days. And forgot I even started it.
