not bad for a first karen mcmanus book (i only watched oouil) i had a hard time getting through the first 200 pages but i can guarantee u that it's reader error. the twist and revelations though— CRAZY (or maybe it's been a while since ive read a thriller that actually had a twisty end). overall, the book was a decent read; it's not bad but also not that remarkable. still, it was a fun read.

Pretty unusual when I am unable to guess who the killer is in a book like this. But that’s what I love about Karen McManus and her writing. Kept me guessing up until the end. Great characters in this one. And a twisty plot. Highly recommend.

Once it came to the Winter Dance, I had already thought of about 4 theories and at one point, it seemed as if each one was gonna be correct, until it fell apart.
The last 12 pages I was fuming, thinking why the hell do they not know who the killer is yet? I honestly thought the book was gonna finish with the murder being unsolved, I thought I had wasted my time reading it. But then there was another twist and I thought daaaaamn my second theory is the right one.
But then, nope. It isn't until the epilogue that we find out who it was, and at that point, it wasn't really a shock anymore. But it's definitely a page turner and it does have you gripped!

Soooo slow in the beginning. Idk why I keep trying McManus books, the characters were annoying. The actual Lomax of the book was good.
