What a lovely book. Beautiful storytelling about art and community during a crisis.

It ends sadly however.

Ann Patchett has a charming way with words and the ability to explain every day actions and relational happenings in unique and chilling ways.

Sadly, I simply don't measure up in my ability to write a review that would justify how much I love this book.

Hmmm - much preferred Commonwealth and The Dutch House to this. Enjoyed the writing and the exploration of characters and dynamics, but thought the epilogue made no sense and think I would have appreciated more information on why this was happening and the demands of the group.
