I loved this book. It was easy to read and I found myself enthralled with each and every character, something I find hard to do sometimes. The ending completely threw me for a loop, and almost left me wanting to know more about how the main characters' lives are going to play out.

I really love Lang Leav's poetry.
But no one has a personality and I don't understand how it's possible to write a novel and have none of the characters have any form of personality? It's an achievement.
I'll just continue to love her poetry.

worst book i’ve ever read in my entire life. kind of ashamed to put it on my bookshelf.
Readable book, loved the poem by Sara Teasdale. But did not like Audrey nor Rad from the start.....it's almost as if the book was dark but not enough....yup. Don't like Audrey

I really didn’t enjoy this, I thought it read like a Wattpad book. Also I didn’t really care about the characters, I feel like it relied too much on the twist.

I liked this a LOT more than Poemsia. It was more developed and the writing was better. Maybe that’s part of why I’d give it 3.5 stars rather than lower. I will say there are still some actually, many) ideas and concepts that I don’t agree with. I don’t agree with the final lines. I don’t agree with Audrey’s final decision. I don’t believe that “boys put spells on girls”. I feel like that sort of statement really removes a woman’s autonomy and power. I don’t think the dialogue referencing all these specific authors and movie scenes was particularly natural. I also really don’t think the “lie” Audrey made up makes any sense whatsoever. Sure, girls are mean, they lie and gossip and call each other names. But to say a classmate who you were supposedly just on vague terms with is being sexually abused? I don’t think so. I don’t like Audrey; she’s selfish, whiny, weak, needy, etc. However, I don’t need to like a character necessarily to like the book. And inexplicably, I did like this. Maybe it’s the moody teen girl hiding inside me.
So, with those caveats, here’s why I did enjoy this book. I liked the flow of the story, though I found it to be unrealistic on the whole. The ability to just up and travel, getting an amazing job without actually finishing school, fate/destiny intervening in love...it’s very story-like, but I liked it. I think a lot of the dialogue leans to be poetic and hold more depth than most conversations do, but it works well enough. It’s nice to think that luck will prevail and that the kindness of others will appear when needed. I like the IDEA of addressing various mental health and drug issues, though I don’t know how well this was done. There were moments of good writing and lines I did enjoy. The pacing worked for me and I wanted to keep reading.
