A nice combination of whimsical plot and gritty art. Tesana, a dreamer and an outcast, discovers the Easter bunny and goes on an adventure to return him home.

The first part of this feels pretty episodic, so that I was comfortable reading only a few pages at a time. An outsider teenage girl acquires a rabbit that lays easter eggs. This is a lucrative feat, so she is chased by greedy people-groups of many types. It's wacky, there are some fantasy sequences, all the characters are heightened stereotypes.

This is one GN that I think would benefit from being in color. Allen's illustration style is so caricaturish that sometimes things aren't proportioned the way you expect it to be, so the addition of color would help distinguish the various characters and scenery. Allen has a very unique voice, and I want to read more by her.

Eh, it was better than I expected. I thought it would be Precious saving a bunny, but it was more interesting than that. And there was a happy ending. Which I appreciate.

This is a cute graphic novel. It’s not my preferred art style and it take me a little bit to get into the story. After the initial plot takes off I started smiling and really enjoying the book. It’s a perfect quick read for anyone who wants a bunny adventure.

It took me a bit of time to get into this one. The drawings are something to get used to and I wasn't sure I wanted to read past page 4, but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. It's a cute story about pure hearts and dreams despite everything around you falling apart. It's about protecting those around you who need protecting, even if they are big enough to take care of themselves. Cute, funny and heartwarming with a little bit of morality thrown in.

The art is quite striking and the central character is endearing, but I think I am a bit too cynical to fully engage with/enjoy this. I'd recommend it to others, but it just wasn't for me. Bummer.

I spontaneously picked this up while looking for other books in the library and decided to read it then and there as it was short enough. I had no idea what it was about other than a very tall and very strong teenager who believes a rabbit is a magic easter bunny??? It was a cute and amusing enough graphic novel, with really nice art to boot. Not much to say about it other than it was a super quick and fun read, and I'm glad I could read it in the library instead of having bought it... Sorry.... 👀

So the only reason I read this is because some graphic novels were being weeded from the library and I tend to automatically claim the ones with covers I like. So it's been sitting on my shelf for ages and ages and I finally got around to reading it.
And I read it in (almost) one sitting on the subway ride to work and I'm sure my fellow commuters were either confused or amused that I kept grinning whenever I turned a page. This book is just DELIGHTFUL.
First, Tesana is just the most wonderful character ever. She's a black, overweight teen who loves unicorns and using her imagination to escape her sadly friendless life, and also is in super good shape and has a strong sense of morality and I just love her to death. She finds a talking rabbit that lays easter eggs which grant wishes and she does everything she can to get the rabbit back to its home, beating up the bad guys on the way.
Second, the art is gorgeous.
I just really like this book. It's adorable and whimsical and hilarious and I like it a lot. And I guess I get why some people don't like it but I don't care because I'm going to keep this book forever and read it over and over.
