Good read for the first three-quarters of the book. Disappointing and pointless ending.
Revisiting some Grisham during the stay home quarantine. Always entertaining.
I know what I'm going to get with Grisham's classics. They're fun, lively, wry and satisfying. While this story doesn't unfold in the most realistic of ways, it's still a pleasure to read about a young, underdog lawyer and his attempt to hold a greedy health insurance company accountable for its misdeeds.

Somehow John Grisham can make insurance claims and legalese interesting. Two of the cringe inducing most boring topics I can think of and Grisham is able to keep me enthralled page after page. Every character in this tale of corporate injustice is easy to see in the mind's eye. I loved it.
I wish there were .5 star ratings for a book like this—I would have given it a 3.5 because this was a fun read but it’s not quite a 4. I think I may be a bit of a process nerd—I enjoyed reading about all of the paperwork and depositions and files… apparently hard work is up my alley. But the romance plot line was not just out of nowhere, divorced from the rest of the story and unnecessary but it was also cringe-worthy. How many times do I have to hear about Kelly’s beautiful tan legs. Especially when a cast is attached to one of them. Rudy sounds like a different person when he speaks about her. Like he’s mostly mad that Kelly’s face was beaten because her face was too beautiful to hit.
There is a murder plot introduced 7/8th of the way through… why?
