Second book in the series, and yet again no disappointment at all. Totally original, however the book did seen short.

Rylie has returned from camp, (where in the last book she turned into a werewolf and watched Seth, who she loved get attacked) she's still a wolf and is struggling to control the changes. So what does she do? She loves to her aunt Gwyn's ranch. That's a clever idea, go to a place filled with live animals that a werewolf would love to eat. She's not very discrete is she? In this book Rylie's character annoyed me, she wasn't rebellious and I found her I be whiney and irritating. However Seth was he complete opposite, whereas in the first book he was secretive in this one he was open completely upon first sight of Rylie he revealed pretty much everything about why his family were there. Then his family were just brutal. His brother (Abel) was so creepy every time he was near Rylie I thought he was going to attack. And his mother (Eleanor) seemed to have no self control, she was unstoppable and seemed to care more about the hunt that her own family.

The writing was at the same standard as the other book. But I found Six Moon Summer to be a lot more entertaining to read. I think it might have to do with the fact that this story had no thrilling violence or much suspense, it was made more personal.

This book is about after Rylie ran away and reached her grandparents home in Ranch, and started new school but she didn't adapt to environment and she try to work with her grandmother at her farm but having problems with animals and then Seth family came in and his mother blood lust for werewolves blood make matters worst. She try to prove herself everyway she can , she tried and when society doesn't able to accept her, she try to adjust. Last when she actually saved Seth her mother injured her but she survived the gun blows, and after getting conscious she want to stay because her grandmother detect with HIV and she didn't revealed, she decided to graduate and take care of grandmother farm alongside with Seth. The cliffhanger came in lets see who is attackers in the story in next part and why he/she did and what's the motive behind attack.

Hmmm, interesting story but characters are hard to like. Snobby, too obsessed with designer clothes and how people look, etc. Hard to root for a heroine that's a bit of a whiny bitch.

I really liked this book. I have always been a fan of the werewolf and magic genre go this was just the right kind of book for me.
At part it is hard to understand and get to grips with. Also would of liked the story to have started just where the first book left off.
I really like the love story between Seth and Rylie and they seem to be a perfect couple.
I would recommend this book to fans of Twlight, if you love that then you will love this.
Overall I really liked this book. Well Done S.M. Refine!

I am so done with YA. I'm not saying it to hate on the genre, this just once again confirmed it for me. Which is sad, because there's some pretty awesome stories out there. Why do angsty-love have to be such a big part of the genre? Why?!?!?!

Anyway, to the book.
I have to admit I had trouble getting through this one. The good thing is that I had some 40 pages that were easy in the beginning, so I again got the confirmation that Reine is a good writer. I like her style. But! The moment Seth got into the picture and there was so much angst from both of them, I fell out. I had to push my way through the rest of the book, and I think I slept through part of it as well, which is pretty well done while reading for me! The moment he came into the story, I fell out, unfortunatly.

So I won't be reading the rest of this series, I'm pretty done with it and the characters. But Reine has a bunch of other books that are meant for adults that I also have, so I will have a look at them sooner or later!

Better than the first! More action, more intensity. The school tantrums were a little childish and on the cliche side, but this sequel was more engaging than the first one. Looking forward to finishing this series!

This book was good, but I didn't like it as much as the first one. I understand that the author wanted us to see Rylie was out of control and that she hungered for blood and wanted to rip into human flesh, or any flesh...but you can only take so much of this. This part of the story, and the part leading up to the end showdown, I felt like it really drug on and on. I felt like she was trying to make the story longer or somethng. However, the beginning and the end of the book were very good, thus keeping the star rating up to 3 stars. I still really like the characters and I'll still read the next books in the series to find out what happens.
