this whole series is my experience with the trope of “he’s broken but I can fix him”

last book, I gave a more detailed review than i’m used to doing.

this book? it was just constant anxiety with eva never catching a break and me wanting eva and jacks to just take the damn leap (no pun intended).

jacks is still my favorite character, bc eva is constantly thinking “can we fix him (bob the builder style) and everyone’s replying with “girl NAH”. which, I eat up. team jacks idc.

anyway, i’m gonna go cry now. bc i’m so scared for the next book but I KNOW im finishing this series tonight.

usually the second book in the series Is the worse, because the author doesn't really know what they are doing with it. BUT THIS BOOK DID NOT DISAPPOINT. if fact, I would say that it is much better than the first book, and that's saying a lot because the first book was really good.

if you reach these scenes your in for a good time..... (slight spoilers but not too much)

Walking in woods after vamp
Lala's party
Hollow
Apollo
valory arch

you will hate apollo

Love this series! Jacks is literally the best type of heartthrob sweetheart vs aggravating douchebag. I loved him. My heart certainly aches at the end. So much so that I had to read another book to not think about it. The only thing I’d love to have is Jacks pov. But regardless I’d highly recommend this series to others!
