idk if it's because i had high hopes for this book or i just wasn't in the right mood for this kind of trope and plot. i was literally skimming through chapters in the second half. i'm sorry but i was way more interested in the side characters' moments. the fact that this has fewer pages than the first two installments yet feels just as long. nevertheless, as i continued reading this series, liz really never misses when it comes to her mmcs. kai and max are so precious to me. miller is so real for all her teasing of kai, and kai gagging her is one of my fav parts. i think the bit of dissatisfaction i felt was mostly because the 2nd installment had such a strong grip on me. still, i can't fully blame the clock app for kaimiller's book being all over my fyp.

Well alright Liz Tomforde. Also dub my president of the Kai Rhodes and Miller Montgomery fan clubs because your girl is obsessed.

I was skeptical at the get go because this man has a baby. Single dad over here and I'm like "ehh.. no thanks". How wrong I was.. because my ovaries were using a battering ram to break down the door any time Kai and Max interacted. I could not even handle it.

The story was fun. I love when there is no unnecessary drama. Kai and Miller are just doing the best they can. They are the most emotionally mature, communitive couple, while also being the most stubborn. They had to figure out their paths before making decisions. I love that Kai gave Miller the space to figure shit out. I love that Miller let herself grow because she didn't realize what she was missing. I love every relationship that all these characters form with each other. And I love that I can add another great dad to the list because Monty..? Fucking great dad. Love him.

Kai and Miller won my heart so quickly. I loved their banter. And I loved their interactions with Max. Max won me over when that little fucker decided to be adorably shy when meeting Miller. Little blushing boy had me swooning. It lives in my head rent free.

I laughed out loud. I cried at the end, especially any time Kai cried. I loved the entire journey.

Now gimme Isaiah and Rio. Those two silly boys deserve their HEAs.
