This was a cute read, but the best part for me was the dog who wears the most adorable sweaters knitted by his owner.  The main characters felt a little young for me - I believe Max was 27, but I was surprised to find that out. I had thought they were both 20, maybe 22 at most. I also didn't belive their chemistry. I enjoyed them more as friends.

Omg this book. At first I really thought that I wasn’t going to like this book. I thought that it was going to be a 3.5 star read at most. But then… it got toward the end and I fell in love. The hardest thing for me about this book that held it back from being a 5 star read was the fact that it was written in third person. I don’t like having books written in third person because then it doesn’t feel like I’m actually involved in the story. I like my romances to feel realistic as if they’re my story and third person just ruins that. Other than that this book was amazing and I loved it. Definitely would recommend as an amazing holiday romance.

This one was cute and good, but nothing mind blowing. Sadie and Max drove me crazy! I prefer more of a slow burn, but there were moments that I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. Despite my qualms, it was a decent read and I would continue to read holiday romances by this author.

the premise of this book really drew me in and I was so excited to read it! strangely though, only about 1/3 of the book even takes place in the country music competition. this was super easy to read and I liked reading about the country music scene in Nashville! however, following the never-ending cycle of miscommunication that Sadie and Max experience got incredibly tiring so quickly. I wish we could’ve spent more time getting to know the main characters both individually and together, as opposed to dealing with the near constant issues they faced.

*thank you to netgalley & penguin group putnam for the eARC, in exchange for a review.
