This was a good quick read. I like it, though I did get irritated with the characters lack of communication many times.

Did anything get resolved? I don’t think these two will make it in the long run.

Quick Summary: An American Idol meets Nashville Star rom-com with a twist

My Review: All I Want for Christmas by Maggie Knox was a light snark & spark romance between two aspiring singers.

About the Book: When two would-be country performers meet on a reality show, an immediate pride and prejudice-esque vibe takes place. As the show goes on, they are put together in a situation that gets tongues wagging and social media in a frenzy. Ups, downs, truths, hurts, and misunderstandings happen, while at the same time, feelings are discovered. The classic will they/won't they scenario rears its head, and readers are led to wonder what happens when Saxie - Sadie and Max - get real.

My Final Say: This was a very sweet and enjoyable read. Readers who like more than meets the eye rom-coms will appreciate this story.

Other: I adored Sadie's grandmother. When she first meets Max and gets to spend time with the couple...

Fun Nashville romance! Loved this couple and the familiar scenes/ places around the Music City!
Just enough push/pull and enemies to Lovers with a sweet happy(even if predictable) ending.
Perfect for Christmas or any time of year!

I'm giving it four stars because I enjoyed reading it but I also didn't think it was great. It was fun to have the background an American Idol-like show, but country version. It's hard for me to believe that people in Nashville use as many country sayings as the characters in this book did. "I am busier than a moth in a mitten.." "I've known you since you were knee-high to a grasshopper..." Like this made me think of Hannah Montana every time and just made it feel silly. Also, Max definitely had a favorite swear word and he used it way too many times to be taken seriously as well.

I can't say enough good things about this book! It was giving me Nashville on ABC vibes and I totally ate it up. There is nothing better to me than a combination of a bunch of different tropes and this book had it all! Fake-dating and enemies to lovers are seriously two of my favourite romance tropes and the author did it so well in this book. Throw in a christmas singing competition and you get a super cute rom-com that will make you swoon. I loved both the main characters in this book. The author did such a great job at making each of them complex and I found their personal struggles to be relatable and interesting. There was no part of this book where I felt bored or that the story was slow. Actually, I feel like maybe some aspects of the story could've been slowed down. I kept looking at how much of the book I had left and was wondering a few times how there was still half a book to go. That being said, I would totally recommend this book to anyone looking for a holiday romance. The vibes were immaculate and I absolutely loved the storyline. I would totally pick this book up in a physical copy and definitely will be re-reading!

4 out of 5 stars for me on this one! I just wish that some aspects weren't as rushed. At times, there seemed to be a lot going on and that doesn't always do it for me. Regardless, I found myself thinking about this book when I was away from it and that is always a good tell to me that I enjoy it. Would totally recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Publishing Canada for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was an amazing holiday read. I think you could read this book a little before or after the holidays as it is not entirely focused on one holiday. It's kinda more of a holiday book because of the vibes. Don't read this book if you hate when character conflict is only because the characters cant communicate. Other than that will be picking this up to read next christmas.

Ugh this book was disappointing. The premise seemed right up my alley, two characters wanting to win a singing competition show, getting paired together and then having to fake a relationship while developing real feelings for each other? That sounded PERFECT to me. However that couldn’t be further from the truth. Yes there were true conflicting moments in the way of our couple being together but their main issue is that they never fucking talked to each other! They assumed the worst in ever situation, weren’t outright with the whole truth and would go MONTHS without speaking to each other! By the end I was throwing down this book in anger because I was so mad at the main characters. Sadly a very disappointing read.
