An appropriate quote for today... OH, THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING IN THE STOCKING THAT MAKES A NOISE, said Death. OTHERWISE WHAT IS 4:30 A.M. FOR?

A festive favourite

Thought I’d read something festive for the holidays- and what better way to do that than with Terry Pratchett’s take on Santa Clause? I love his satire and observations on the holiday, but as usual, his parody of our world also shows the good: a nanny who fights monsters, a criminal who listens to his mother, and the importance of belief!

3.5? The scenes with Death were hilarious and what I came for. Plenty of Pratchett-isms that were great and I'll remember for a long time. It was only like 30% of the book though

I didn't care for many of the other perspectives and got confused a lot. It jumped around too much and most things didn't make sense until the end, and even then I was still a little confused. Not my favorite of the Discworld so far

I found it a bit pointless. The book’s strength is it’s witty dialogue and loose plot but I found it hard to focus and remember all the different characters.
