i really like marigold as the pov character, and i still enjoyed the mixing of witches and wellington, or just nz in general. good short read.

2nd read: marigold’s anxieties v relatable, i enjoy all that the author is able to convey in so few pages.

This is the Book 2 in the Windflower series. It is a novella. It is set in present day New Zealand. The only difference is that there is magic and there are monsters. The two main characters from Book 1, Lauren and Marigold are also the two main characters in this book. This book is told from the perspective of Marigold. Like Book 1, it is a cozy fantasy. I really enjoyed it. I had a minor issue in that I was confused in a few spots. I had to re-read a few places. Despite this, I thought the language was really good.
