Okay wow.

As I have felt with the last two books in this trilogy..... Brigid Kemmerer is a master at emotions settings immersion of the book to the reader.

I cried so much at the end of this book. Some were very grief-stricken big fat, alligator tears. And some were dainty eyes welling happy tears.

I am so sad that I have finished these characters' story. I truly could spend so much more time in Kandala with Tessa Corrik Quint Harristan Rocco Thorin Saeth Lochlan Kerri....all of them truly.

I'm very much looking forward to forging silver into stars. Which I should be receiving shortly via mail.

I didn't like the curse. So dark and lonely trilogy. I know that has a different name but I can't remember right now.

But I might have to give it another shot considering how well I loved this trilogy. Truly my favorite trilogy I have read ( and finished) in a long time.

Man, I really can't get over the fact that I will never be with these characters again. Or that I won't get to learn more about them. I should say because I could always reread the books.

If I could rate this higher than 5 out of five stars I totally would

The exciting conclusion to this series. We left off with Tessa, Corrick, and Harristan all in three different places fighting three different battles. Tessa thinks that Corrick is dead, and the kingdom thinks that Harristan has been trying to poison them. It is a long, hard battle for all of them to try to accomplish their goals. So much happened in this, and it was very emotional. But I think one of the best things to come out of this series was the unusual alliances formed. Lochlan and Corrick being stranded together is probably the best thing ever. Not the best series I’ve ever read, but it is hard to put it down once you pick it up. The character development was amazing. I went from hating certain characters to absolutely loving them. This was a pretty good time. And by ‘good’ I mean emotional and that I probably won’t forget about this for a while.

3.5 stars. I really liked this series—book 1 and 2 being solid 4 stars for me. And I thought this one would follow similarly. Instead, I find myself SO disappointed in the ending of this book. It felt like the author realized she needed to wrap it up soon, so she did so in the most non-climactic way possible. Everything wrapped in a neat little bow. Traitorous counsels? Let’s have Harristan blow them all up instead of having some kind of Justice and clearing the air to the people. King Corrick—who the people have overwhelmingly thought of as a cruel man who tortured people senselessly—suddenly accepted? Harristan disappears without having to clean up the mess of the kingdom left? I appreciated some of the conclusions—like Lochland being named the King’s Justice and Olive making negotiations on behalf of Ostriary. But overall, I was very disappointed in the ending.

I liked this one the most. Harristan and Quint slayed hardcore in this and I really really liked how they developed Corrick and Lochlan both separately and as a pair. I kinda fell out of love with Tessa in the second book but she did come back ish in this book but my main man Rocco was the star. Actually all the kings guards were stars in this book they took the stage and ran it I swear

Story was great.  Audiobook was slow and I did not care for the voices or accents.
