This felt light on the romance for a romance book. I did enjoy the murder mystery aspect and the incredible setting.

Loved this. It's Nora. What else is there to say. :)

Absolutely incredible read, had me guessing until the very end!!

gd read

Okay so, I do read a few romance novels now and then. I don't bother reviewing them, because they are what they are. I read them when work/life is too busy and stressful and I just want to not think for awhile. Nora Roberts is usually my go to for that.

So when I way away marking an exam for two weeks, I decided to take this with me. And it really surprised me! There were a couple of steamier scenes, but not to the extent of her normal books, and this actually had a pretty decent story!

It was still a fluffy read, but not quite to the extent of her other books. It was exactly what I needed and it kept me turning the pages quickly!

well. well.

this was quite readable, if a bit slow, not gonna lie. its got great dialogue and it flies by. it also has alaska which for some weird reason i enjoy as a setting. that may be why i chose this particular nora roberts.

however, in my 27th year of living, i finally realized i do not care about any kind of murder investigation plot in books, or in movies.
Spoilersorry nicole, sorry kidman
and while i liked the main characters, i found the love story lacking in the excitement department. i like my romances with a dash more pining. this was way too realistic for my refined taste.
Spoilerwith that i mean i love trash

so. i didnt care about the murder and i wasnt thrilled with the romance. i also feel that some of the writing choices were questionable. and since the writing was the whole reason i ended up reading this in the first place, im gonna need someone to please explain to me why.

well. well.
