Please please look at the content warnings before reading this book.
It’s horrible but weirdly addictive, like I want to stop but can’t

Never can be bothered to review usually but this was possibly the worst thing I’ve ever read. None of the characters had any redeeming qualities, in fact they were all irredeemable in my opinion, and all they talked about was sex and breeding (SEE TRIGGER WARNINGS). Honestly had to force myself to finish this so many times it was frightful.

I’m going to be honest with you - this is not a good book. In fact at best the treatment of women in this is fucking disgusting. But am I going to read the next one? Hell yeah.

This was...... something. I was very tempted to give this book a one star but, like, here's the thing; it was entertaining. Albeit, in the same way shitty reality tv is entertaining. Like, "God, these people suck and this is such garbage content but why can't I stop watching?"

Anyway, this book is fun to read if you don't take it seriously--and especially if you hate read it with friends or something--otherwise just skip this one, I think. It's way too long to be this bad.

(Also, that disclaimer at the beginning was such a red flag to begin with. "caveman-like asshole" ???? ma'am???)

I have absolutely no idea how this book made it to print. It feels like an author sat down with a bottle of wine and wrote it in a night?
I feel like, had it had time and energy spent in it, it could have had real meaning and substance. Except it was all f*** and c*** which isn't really a plot? And heavens, don't get me started on the dialogue, four pages of back and forth that could have been half a page.
Bottom line, just as everyone says, the only reason I made it this far was because it was a train wreck I couldn't look away from. Buh-bye.

This might be the worst book I’ve ever read in my entire life.

If a 13 year old writing their very first wattpad fan fiction, an even more incompetent version of the Riverdale writing team, and a porn director collaborated to produce a work of fiction, this would be the result.

The world-building was half a**ed and done almost exclusively through infodumping. The romance (if you can even call it that) was this repetitive back and forth between the MC and love interest that got annoying so quickly. The plot was nonexistent, and the very little there was of it was so contrived and made no sense. Let’s not even talk about how awful the dialogue was. Also, it was just way too fucking long. So much could’ve been cut out and it wouldn’t have affected the story whatsoever.

However, as harsh as I’ve been, I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t entertaining as hell. It was like a mess I couldn’t look away from. Also, I actually enjoyed the ending when (SPOILER)
Aria kills her twin and declares war against Knox. I didn’t think this book would actually go there.
It makes me kinda want to read the rest of the series.

I’d recommend this for anyone looking for a good laugh and a turn-off-your-brain type of story.

So. I read a lot of trashy books with questionable love interests, but this one... I loathed this one. Knox is a horrible being, the absolute embodiment of red flags. Our MC is Aria, who is a kind and OP witch, who takes it upon her to free the magical world from the remnants of her family's bad influence. Also she is 25 years old. Knox is about 1000 years old, and 500 (again, Aria is 25) years ago Aria's family member (NOT Aria) did something terrible to him. That is the tea. For this action he verbally, emotionally, sexually and phisically abuses Aria, while claiming that he loves her.
He basically rapes Aria taking her virginity!!!!!, puts a stigma on her flesh!!!! so that he can monitor her at all times (obviously he didn't ask for consent).

Basically he is the worst possible character ever. I can't emphasize how much I hated him. He is an overgrown toddler, who blames his lack of capability to overcome emotional trauma (in 500 fucking years) on an innocent woman, and abuses her brutally. This is just shitty. Also, I can't for the love of God understand, why Aria haven't hexed his stupid head of after the first 20 or so pages.
There is no redemption arc enough for him to be good. He should be the main villain in this series, not the love interest. I honestly rooted to the villain to kill this pile of dung.
