So, I already knew that Talia Hibbert was special. I don't know how I'd never learned of her, but until I read Get a Life, Chloe Brown, I hadn't. After that, I jumped into some of her previous work and it's ALL SPECTACULAR. I love that her heroines are not the typical one note romance females. I especially loved the female MC in this book. Ruth is absolutely incredible and her spirit shines through every page. This book lightened my heart, and I enjoyed it so much that I'm starting the 2nd in the series now.

Since I’ve read all of Talia Hibbert’s frontlist, I decided to delve back into some of her older books. This did not disappoint and reminded me why I adore Hibbert: A prickly heroine, a hot neighbor who has no interest in changing who she is, and all of the witty banter. Hibbert also deals with some heavier topics with all of the emotional authenticity I recognize and appreciate. A solid read that I devoured in quarantine.

A very enjoyable backlist for Talia Hibbert fans. A quick read, and open door romance. We follow Ruth and Evan. Ruth has always lived in her small town, and has history that has followed her for better or worse... but mostly worse. Evan just moved to town for a job not knowing his new neighbor was more than he was ever expecting.

I love that Ruth is a wonderfully unique character.  She is autistic. She is also straightforward,  slightly awkward, an artist, and very much a comic lover. Seeing a woman portrayed with a-non-cookie-cutter personality is absolutely refreshing.  I adore Ruth.

This was a fun, quick read, but this isn't like her latest books that have much more depth (The Brown Sisters trilogy). I still recommend it and will likely eventually finish this Ravenwood series.
