Kunne nok vært foruten den konstante glorifiseringen av det amerikanske militæret, men det var vel å forvente. Ellers utrolig god bok, med svært mange interessante poenger innenfor ledelse både av andre og deg selv.
It was inspirational. Especially since the audiobook was read by the authors and it's fun to hear what they sound like. The main points were all pretty generic, but at the same time they were very useful.
It's a bunch of boring advice that can act as words of encouragement for the reader. E.g. "Take full responsibility for any mistakes that happen on your command." Ok, yeah, that's a good idea, but it's not really expanding my mind.
The war stories were not all that educational, but they were fun to listen to. Hearing opinions about the US presence in the Middle East from the view of a SEAL leader on the ground was definitely interesting.

Great leadership ideas, a bit hard to read if you don't care for war stories
The ideas presented in this book are great and I would say essential for leaders. Extreme ownership is something everybody should strive for.
I was not a big fan of how the book is written. The majority of it are military stories that serve as background to present the ideas behind Extreme ownership. However those background stories go on for too long, and because I don't care personally about war stories, they didn't keep my interest.

I haven’t read a leadership book previous to Extreme Ownership, however, I was very impressed by this one. Admittedly, I am not inclined to read military stories, but the usage of these stories display and reinforce the 12 concepts promulgated within these pages. I personally identified with the 2 principles of ‘simple’ and ‘decentralized command’. I highly recommend this book for any person that holds a leadership position of any kind (which is most people), especially those with titles such as manager, teacher, officer, instructor, and coach.
