Decent book. The military stories were fun and easy reading. The principles of leadership the book espouses seem solid enough. Overall a fun and useful book.

I read, well listened, to this book with my team for work. While I understand the foundation they were trying to lay by sharing the war stories that was about 85% of the book and the connection to the principle and application to business just seemed like an after thought. Although I didn’t love it, I did walk away with some nice little nuggets.

The idea and principles are fantastic but it was delivered very repetitive to me. Taking ones ownership in all situations being the main theme is an amazing way to go at any situation. The first part of the book had me captivated and living how it was being taught, the only issue was it felt lime it became repetitive after that.
