A must read.
Hooked right from the first page. I don’t know how I stumbled upon this masterpiece. Maybe it was goodreads or kindle or storygraph I am not sure. But i cant thank the recommendations sections enough. I loved this book. Dark matter and recursion were on my wish list but this was the first ever Blake Crouch book y read and i think I will check out each and every book of his. Cuz i am a fan.

As for the book I just finished- It was gripping, tense and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.

The decisions made by the characters seemed practical (to me). There was a point in the story where I was absolutely sure the character shouldn’t have made the choice he made but as I thought about it more when I wasn’t reading, it made more sense and seemed like something I would have chosen to do no matter how hard a choice it was.

The kids were pretty annoying with all their questions in the beginning. Jack tells them to do something, they would shoot back with a why. Like—
But that got better after a fee chapters.

As the story moved forward it felt like you were suffering right alongside the characters. It was heart wrenchingly emotional in so many scenes. Apparently cant say more as it will spoil the plot.

But there were some unrealistic things happening like the characters getting injured and the injury not being a major drawback with everything else that was happening around them. Everything seemed to be working in the favour of main characters. You will know what I am talking about when you read it. Although its fiction there could have been more struggle and more realistic injuries.

All in all I really liked this book. The whole apocalypse theme was cliché but the system behind it was pretty unique. I also liked the ending. It suited the plot. After all the things this family went through-.

Ok enough. Before I unknowingly drop off spoilers thats all folks.
