Having recently read the journals of Robert Falcon Scott on his polar expedition, this was very interesting as a comparison.
1) Mr. Amundsen survived and edited his journals to form this book whereas Scott's journals were edited, but not by Scott. His felt more.
2) Preparation. Mr. Amundsen was much better prepared.
