The main character is not likable but you also can't look away.  I found the final chapter surprising, and satisfying, and it left me with questions.

I didn’t hate this book, I also didn’t adore it. It felt intimate and honest and realistic in a way that I can’t confirm because I am a very different type of gay. The book did make me think and was interesting to chew on, however everyone sucking so hard in a privileged obnoxious way made getting through it at times very difficult to swallow. If you’re a fan of the unraveling of the suburban prison of a white upper middle class woman’s mind (with a fun dyke twist) than go for it. It has its funny moments and is excellently written, I just found parts hard to get through personally.

I struggled between two or three stars. I really didn’t enjoy this book. It’s well written but the characters are all wounded but also unlikable and take no accountability for this lives and actions, particularly the main character Sammie.
