A quick read sharing a glimpse of the ver real realities of migration. It forces readers to confront the humanity that is people seeking safety through the lens of a child making his way from Ghana to Italy to reunite with family. A heavy read, for sure, clearly portraying the raw tragedy of the many that don’t survive the journey.

So important. Heartbreaking and real and unflinching in its truth. The fact that is on many banned book lists isn’t surprising but it is so sad, everyone should be able to read this book. This is human experience and hiding the book doesn’t change the truth
