I did it. I fucking did it. If I was physically able to cry I would have sobbed so many times. We lost some real bad bitches in this one so best believe I will be pouring one out for them. The fact that the timeline of this book is supposed to be over the course of a year is insane to me how many fucking hours are in a day in these fae worlds??
It cannot be the same 24 as me???

The stress all of these books have given me has probably taken years off my life. Ulcers in gestation
Please take all manons suffering and give them to any other bitch (Chaol (I guess not him anymore maybe his bitchass daddy))

“Live, Manon. Live.”

Sarah J Maas did it again: she managed to make me go from a full-out crying session to laughing out loud to being pissed off so bad that I wanted to throw the book against my wall. KoA had it all. However, I cannot give it a 5 ⭐️ review. The plot was amazing, specifically the way she ended the war (no spoilers here, don't worry), but Aedion and Lysandra's chapters were partially annoying. Especially in the first ~600 pages. Moreover, SJM killed someone off for no reason, whatsoever. Whenever someone dies in her books, there is always logic and reason behind it; it is comprehensible as far as a death can be. But this one did not make sense and was solely for the dramatics. I am very much annoyed at that.
Will I ever get over the fact that there won't be any Dorian content coming anymore? No. But KoA delivered amazing Dorian material, which I'll gladly continue to fangirl over ✨

** spoiler alert ** I debated what rating to give this book, but landed on 5 Stars
Is it perfect? No, and in true SJM fashion it is 1,000 pages for no reason. But I haven't read a book in a long time that made me cry and scream and jump up and down as much as this one.

There are so many iconic scenes that will never leave my brain. Aelin after she gets rescued and is trying to get her shackles off. Manon when she fights the Ironteeth matrons and gets her crown. THE THIRTEEN, MY GOD.
Also, the scene where Aelin is traveling through the worlds---wow, how did we not make this connection sooner?

This was a great conclusion to such an epic series. I still don't like Aelin very much as a main character but I must admit she is a badass and has endured some really horrible things. (Definitely check your trigger warnings before reading this). I'm also still very confused about the magic system in this world but since I've read all the books and haven't figured it out, I guess I never will.

Overall, this was a great ending. I really liked the way the destruction of Maeve and Erawan was written. The ending was full of smiles and warm and fuzzy feelings for the most part, with a little bit of sadness as is expected after such an epic battle. It must be said that Manon is hands down the best character and I will love her forever.

I can't wait to see what else SJM has in store for us!

This series was a journey, one I questioned along the way, but so very glad I continued on to the end. Happy to have gotten through it but now sad it is over!

This series felt like home. It really helped me - in a way that finding the right book in the right time does.
I really fell in love with the characters and related to them. Foght with me, dreamed with them. I cried and laughed and saw them grow up. Also, I've never cried so much for a book series. Neither have I felt a hole after turning the last page.
And now, that I have finished it, I'd like to read it all again for the first time.
