I read this while I was in a mire. While it was a tough read (the writing style is ancient), I managed to pull through and found several encouraging quotes. I urge anyone who has any dissatisfactions in life to read this. Robinson Crusoe, fictional as he may be, is an admirable character who carries the essence of Stoicism and optimism.

For obvious reasons, I kept myself away from Robinson Crusoe. Surprisingly, I liked reading it in parts, but of course Crusoe had to ruin that experience with his 'growth'.

One of the better classics that I've read. For fans of Tom Hank's movie Castaway. I did find it went on about 100 pages longer than it needed to be but most classics do.
