If I read one more sentence about the damn goats I would have thrown the book across the room, hoping to see it burst into many pieces. Needless to say, I hated this book.

Think Castaway with theology. Incredibly interesting, love the things it has to say about the nature of prayer and inadvertently a good insight into the time. Apparently it’s racist, but I didn’t think so, he’s mostly just on an island praying for most of it

I liked the aspects of having to survive just by himself although it seemed a bit oversimplified at times. I did not care for the religious aspects or him interacting with others.
Still, I enjoyed it more than I expected to!

Um...well...I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be? I thought it was going to be one of the most dull books I ever read and it wasn't *exactly* that. I mean I've read worse things.

Hm good things, good things...well, it did give me an interesting topic for my English essay. I thought there wasn't going to be anything interesting for me to talk about so that was nice. Although I haven't gotten my grade back on that paper yet so if I get a bad grade, it's your fault, Defoe.

*sigh* I just have trouble with these early 1700s English novels. They just...they don't know how to write books yet. And I guess that's not entirely their fault, but still it makes for some very dull frustrating reads.

Also, pacing? Never met her who is that?
