This really moved me. Although, I do want to go back and re-read because I don't feel I understood every poem fully. Even when the topics were painful, reading this brought me a sense of peace. Maybe one of the things this poetry does is what buddhism or the blues do--transforming suffering into something beautiful.

My first real modern poetry anthology. It's bitter, life-afirming, angry, joyous, peaceful, and revolutionary.

It resonates like a punch to the face. I had to put it down in tears. I could not stop picking it back up again. You could do a degree only on this collection.

I could not recommend this highly enough to UK citizens.

One of the best poetry books I read this year. Moving, insightful, and at times foreshadowing the inflection points that we saw in 2020. It was superb.
