3.5 i think is perfect, there was some repetition in her self monologue that got annoying but i think it was her typical interesting fast paced story
will i read her stuff as a palette cleanser/to get out of a slump yes..
do i think it's the best writing? no

There was something about this that I just didn’t like but I can’t quite put it into words. It was very bingeable. I read it in just a few days and I’m a slow ready so that’s pretty fast for me. I think this could’ve been maybe 40-50 pages shorter and basically been the same exact story. A quick, pretty fun read though.

Trapped by the Storm, Hunted by Fate

The Crash will follow the story of Tegan, who will be eight months pregnant when she sets out to meet her brother. However, she will drive straight into a blizzard, crash her car, and become stranded.

It will also be the story of Hank, a towering man who will rescue Tegan and take her to his home. And then there will be Polly, Hank’s wife, a nurse who will care for Tegan until the storm clears.

Like all of Frieda McFadden’s books, this one will not be a straightforward tale. While there will be no mysterious moments, the suspense will keep you turning the pages, eager to find out what happens next.

The characters will be well-developed, and there will be no dull moments in the book.

I will like it. (Wait, I did like it!

The Crash kept me reading and had a few decent twists, but the characters were so annoyingly assumptive that I found myself rolling my eyes more than I was holding my breath. It felt like Misery meets Empty Cradle with a sprinkle of The Lion King, which made for an odd but strangely workable mix. It was entertaining enough to finish in a couple of sittings, but it also confirmed something I have been suspecting lately; I might be less of a Freida McFadden fan than I used to think.
