I'm dissapointed. This book was sold to me as the great SF Diune-like. And it was Dune-like - Dune-like boring. Everything that happened during first 400-500 pages should be put into either a prequel (for those who already enjoy the story of Hadrian) or condensed into 100-150 pages introduction. It gets interesting in last 200 pages. For this reason, I'm not sure I if I read the 2nd book...
For Polish readers: Polskie tłumaczenie tej książki to żart. Język niedostosowany do oryginału, błędy w tłumaczeniu (mój ulubiony: org:"When in Rome..." pl: "Kiedy jesteś w Rzymie..." - oczywiste odniesienie do przysłowia When in Rome do as Romans would - Kiedy wchodzisz między wrony, musisz krakać jak i one). Pełno jest takich potknięć lub błędów, przez które musiałem sięgać do oryginału, żeby zrozumieć sens albo odgadnąć "Co tłumacz miał na myśli". Zdecydowanie polecam bardziej oryginał.
PS: Wyłącznik to po angielsku "Switch" a Switch to w społeczności LGBT osoba, która dostosowuje się do potrzeb drugiej osoby. Używajcie też informacji mądrze :) Po przeczytaniu zrozumiecie, czemu "Wyłącznik" to głupie tłumaczenie.
