I hated this. Read like diary pages/inner monologuing. This is the second time I've tried this author and I didn't like the other one either. Guess this author isn't for me

Absolutely loved it. There are some triggering bits for those familiar with abuse, but it's written so well and the characters work through it with you in a way.  Everything is so descriptive and romantically written, but not in an over the top, distracting way and it just flows really well overall.

This book wasn’t at all what I expected and it gets 5 stars.

What a hauntingly beautiful story. I felt as if I was reading someone’s diary as they recounted the years with you. So many promises of life and adventure that ended up being death and solitude. Constanta learned your ticks and tells and knew when to make herself smaller to keep the peace. But you can only cage someone for so long before the shackles get too tight.

I wonder about your past brides and lovers and the stories they would’ve told. But you’ll never know the life that Constanta, Maggie, and Alexi have gone on to experience as your bones have settled into the dust and your name has been stripped from existence.

Kinda……overhyped. But still a good story. Dracula remains an asshole in this book. I enjoyed the nods to the original.
