I am not sure what kind of masochism drives me to these types of list-books - they always make me so irritated. I tell you what, NEVER AGAIN! If one gawd damn more reading guide tries to push James Joyce or Thucydides on me...

Anyway, this wasn't my jam.

What to read and why you should read it sometime during your life. It's a great resource.

Another book of best books. Always searching for the best book or "new classics" I never read or heard about. This one present the book in their chronological order, with a short presentation, one or two pages by the author. I will use it as a reference to go deeper into reading my classics!

I have no idea of how to review this or how to rate it. It's a rather extensive list and I would never be able to read all of the recommendations so while I tagged many books to add to my own "to be read" list, there were some I have no intention of reading. I'm 46 years old and I read a fair amount, but sometimes I just want to read for fun. There are a few I've read before but still added again because after reading why the piece was in the collection, think I may appreciate the books more as an adult (rather than a young adult).

Since the list is long and the reasons for including well thought out, I guess I'll give it a 4 star rating.
