I liked this a lot, always a sucker for a lesbian coming of age novel, always a sucker for a lesbian novel set in the 60s and 70s, always a sucker for a novel that gives insight into lesbian cultural clashes

Pretty good and very iconic young lesbian novel so had to read! I found the ending a bit rushed and wanting more of a conclusion, but it is more realistic than that. Characters are funny, challenging, and generally well developed and liked. Not my fav ever, but happy to not read another devastating historical lesbian peice lol

While there are definitely parts that are outdated and distasteful, it’s easy to see how revolutionary this novel is in the way it tackles classism, sexism, racism, and lesbophobia in such a thorough yet  digestible way. A worthwhile read
