This book is sick. I enjoyed reading it, but I wouldn’t rate it too high

I saw that this book got banned, but I’d already downloaded it on KU so thankfully I was still able to read it on there.

I didn’t really know what to expect for this book, apart from it having lots of trigger warnings, which if you have any please check before you read this story.

Alexzander and his brother Gunnir as they live in a dated horrible house, which they grew up in and were conditioned to do nasty things to women.
Gunnir suggests that Alex get his own woman one day and Alex knows straight away who he wants.

Ophelia works in a diner, when she isn’t there she’s at home with her dad, who is an alcoholic and confuses Ophelia with her dead mother when he’s drunk.
Ophelia sees Alex everyday at the diner, and they make very little conversation.
One day everything changes when Ophelia gets taken from the diner, and is put in the basement of Alex and Gunnir’s house with another woman.

From there Ophelia is put through hell, and she doesn’t know how she will ever escape.

Alex and Ophelia go through difficult times and when their feelings are starting to change, so does their relationship. But is blood thicker than water?

Please do not take my 4 star rating as an endorsement to read this book. It left me feeling gross and shocked and overall dirtier than before I read it. Fast paced, good character development. But dear lord

This is probably the most disturbing book I have ever read. It has every single trigger warning possible in a book, and clearly Ophelia is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, but just like a good horror movie, I could not stop reading it. The author really made me hate these two brothers, but still somehow feel bad for this man who was forced to be a monster. I am not sure if this genre is for me, but if you are into dark, horror erotic FICTION, then definitely give this one a go.
